Dupree Lateef Tave was born October 3, 1977 in Harbor City California to the union of Lula. and William H. Tave. Dupree confessed Christ at a very early age. He believed in the lord Jesus Christ.

Dupree attended Lomita Elementary School in Lomita, California and Dodson Middle School in San Pedro, California. He was presently attending Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, California, in his junior year. He was very athletic in numerous sports, track and field, baseball, but football was his game. These were things that he loved to do. He had received scholarship offers from numerous Pac 10 universities throughout Southern California, including other States, such as Kansas, Washington and UNLV, etc He not only excelled in athletics he was a good student academically. He was an up-lifting young man. Everybody that knew him loved him. He would at the spur of the moment do "funny things" that would crack you up.

He was fun-loving, caring, sensitive, emotional, and devoted to all the people he loved and many, many others. He was a positive role model for his younger brother as well as his peers. He not only had a friendship when playing cross town rival teams, he also had special relatioships with many of his opposing team members from Los Angeles City League to the CIF League.We will remember all the positive qualities that truly set Dupree apart from many of today's youth.

During his spare time Dupree did car detailing as well as barbering for close friends and family members. These were the positive things that kept Dupree focused toward a bright and successful future.

Dupree leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted and loving mother, Lula M. Tave and a devoted brother, Jamar Demond Tave; two brothers, Darrel and Reginald Tave; and one sister, Renae Tave. His devoted and loving grandparents, Leonard and Gatha Graham of Wilmington, California and Bob Ella Tave of Los Angeles, California; great grandmother, Louvinia Gipson of Wilmington, California; four aunts two uncles, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

My son Dupree L Tave was a high school football star.He attended Banning High School in Wilmington, California. He was very athletic in numerous sports, such as baseball and track, but his sport was football. These were some of the things Dupree loved to do. He had received numerous Scholarship offers from major universities throughout the country, including many pacific 10 colleges. such as U.C.L.A., U.N.L.V., C.AL. Poly, Fresno State University, Washington University, Universityof Kansas, Colby College, Claremont University, Harvey Mudd College, Scripps College, Illinois State University, U.C.Davis, Holly Cross University, Willamette University, Brown University, The University of Hawaii, Stanford University, Concordia College, U.S.C., Oregon State, Occidental College, and the United States Naval Academy.
