James Allen Clinkscales

He graduated from Martin Van Buren High School and
attended Queensboro Community College in Queens,
NY and Essex County College in Newark, NJ.
Very early in Jimmy's life he accepted Christ and joined
the Mount
Zion Baptist Church in Jamaica, New York under the
late Rev.
Jackson. There he served as a missionary and an usher.
Although
he loved the many organizations within the church,
above all Jimmy
loved to sing! For many years he was a member of the
Gospel Shields,
a singing group that sang to the glory of the Lord
in churches all over
Long Island.
He met and later married Hazel Carver in September
of 1977. To
this union one son was born, Matthew James Clinkscales.
James
was ordained as a Deacon in the Beulah Baptist Church,
in
Newark, New Jersey and has served for the last 15
years.
Jimmy worked for Federal Express for many years until
he became
ill and was hospitalized. He was a devoted husband,
father, son,
brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Hazel,

A House on a Hill
Lord grant me a House on a Hill Not filled with treasures
or gold, But filled with your spirit Which abides in my soul.
Lord see my works and with them be so pleased,Know that
my labor was for non-but thee. My singing and praising, For
years and years upon end. Jesus you know for an eternity I
wish to spend.
My love for Christ is ever so strong. Serving Him I know could
not have been wrong. A way with my Savior what peace I will
see. With Jesus alone my soul is set free.
Although I must leave to be closer to thee My memories they
will have to comfort and ease The days may seem dim at first
when I'm gone, But oh just remember with Him I belong.
Just singing and praising His name from above, For Christ I
have worked this labor of love. A crown that awaits me, my
souls glorified, For Jesus You Know I've served 'til I died.
A house on a hill is all equire, It truly is my main desire. And
now that I'm there my soul is set free With the Angels I'm
singing, A new song . . .Just for me.
